This welding method has many advantages: good protection effect, high welding quality, no splashing, and beautiful weld formation; Small welding deformation, capable of single-sided welding and double-sided welding, ensuring full penetration at different positions, and capable of welding various metals and alloys; Stable arc, bright arc operation, no slag, easy to achieve automation.
Thus, it has been widely applied in practical production. However, argon arc welding has weak wind resistance and is particularly sensitive to rust, water, and oil stains. It has strict requirements for gas purity, groove cleaning, welding processes, and is prone to porosity.
